Team Building

The three components of Team Building Organizational Development intervention strategies can be provided as separate programs or can be integrated into a three phase process.

  1. Team Effectiveness Evaluation

This program is designed for teams wishing to maximize their decision making capability, and increase their productivity.  The focus in on enhancing an understanding of the dynamics of the group, increasing group synergy, assessing the level of group support, and strengthening commitment toward decision making.

  1. Improving Teamwork Productivity

Building on the Team Effectiveness Evaluation, the group attends a four day work session, preferably off-site.  With a series of developmental tools, teaching and experiential exercises, which combine practical business simulation with theory of group dynamics, members begin to appreciate the value of understanding process and how it can enhance or impede group functioning.  They gain insight into their own and others' contribution to how problems in the group are maintained and what they can personally do to resolve them; to influence positively and enhance the group experience, empowering each member to take initiative if the group begins to decrease potency.  Teams undertaking this program will learn what authentic motivation means and how it rewards everyone.  They will identify and implement changes that support the quality of life and level of performance.

  1. Conflict Resolution and Cooperation

This program is designed for small groups wishing to identify, clarify and resolve the difficulties preventing them from achieving mutual gain, and is specifically aimed at identifying styles of conflict resolution among group members.  A key element of the module is to facilitate awareness of how each member contributes to the existing problem, encouraging ownership without loss of safety or professional potency.
